-began a fascination with freely improvised music in his early thirties. 

-worked in this area very intensely for almost a decade.

-recorded and performed constantly.

 -did a series of trio shows in Europe. 

-continues to practice this mode of playing and continues to record 
   hours of it. 

-recorded an album entitled "Number 9" with John Oswald and Roger Turner which was released on the Emanem label by the late Martin Davidson in the UK.
